As CEO, Dennis sets the product standard for the company: understand the operation first, design mobile journeys that matter, and engineer platforms teams can rely on after launch day.
He remains close to client engagements — from the first discovery conversation through scope definition, interface direction, milestone planning, and post-launch support decisions.
Dennis is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the Open University of Kenya, developing deeper knowledge of intelligent systems and their responsible application to practical African business challenges.
He trained in Software Engineering at Moringa School, where he developed the hands-on product engineering discipline that informs Afri-Silicon’s delivery approach. Before that, he studied Computer Science at Mount Kenya University, building an earlier foundation in computing and technology.
This combination of business leadership, production software experience, and continuing AI education shapes his approach: technology should solve a clearly understood operational problem, remain usable in the field, and create measurable value after launch.
Clients work with Dennis when they need a partner who can translate operational complexity into a clear software roadmap. Typical engagements begin with a structured discovery phase before any build commitment.
Dennis believes East African businesses deserve software built around mobile money habits, branch operations, field teams, and executive reporting — not imported products that ignore local context.
That philosophy is visible in two property products now in production: The Super Agent, a discovery platform for mobile-first property buyers, and EstateDesk, a SaaS platform for property operations. His growing artificial-intelligence expertise also informs how Afri-Silicon approaches automation, decision support, and responsible data use.
Dennis approaches software discovery as an operational investigation rather than a feature-list exercise. The objective is to understand what people do, which decisions matter, where records break down, and how the proposed system will improve daily work.
A useful discovery process begins with users and permissions, then maps the records they create, the approvals they require, the money or documents that move between them, and the reports leadership needs. Only after those relationships are clear should a team commit to interfaces, integrations, and release dates.
Dennis advocates designing around the conditions users actually face: phones as primary work devices, mobile-money transactions, distributed field teams, intermittent connectivity, and management teams that need trustworthy operational visibility.
For property businesses, this means connecting listings, inquiries, tenants, units, payments, maintenance, and owner reporting instead of treating them as unrelated screens. For payment-enabled platforms, transaction states, callbacks, reconciliation, reversals, permissions, and audit records must be considered from the beginning.
Local context does not replace strong engineering fundamentals. Secure access, structured data, maintainable architecture, performance, accessibility, and post-launch support remain essential for software expected to grow beyond an initial release.
Dennis studies how artificial intelligence can support useful business decisions without weakening accountability. His interest is in practical applications such as document classification, operational summaries, assisted search, anomaly detection, and workflow automation.
He treats AI as one component of a dependable product rather than a substitute for clear processes or reliable data. Appropriate human review, privacy, security, explainability, and measurable usefulness should shape whether an AI-assisted feature belongs in production.
Dennis writes and advises on custom software planning, PropTech, applied artificial intelligence, fintech architecture, and product delivery for African teams. His thinking is published in the Afri-Silicon insights library and shared directly with clients during discovery.
Dennis has led product discovery and delivery direction across legal technology, property discovery, property operations, and custom business systems. Selected work includes E.P & Co. Advocates, The Super Agent for Maison Opal LLP, and the EstateDesk property-management product foundation.
